It must be over a year since this wonderful company closed its books. Does anyone know what happened to the moulds?

I don't know Mike, but historexagents.co.uk still have some of their figures in stock.

I'm glad I bought my favourite Seil pieces when I did, and that I have them safely in the stash. Just wish I'd done the same with The Roll Call 10 years ago, and S&T more recently.

So my policy now is "I like it, I want it, I'll take it off their hands" and out comes the plastic, because in the current climate you just don't know who might be the next to fold. I also gather that Elite are now no more.

I am really shocked to hear Elite is gone. They are like a full-blown major player. Of course it's the people, not the brand that matters. I've seen a good many brilliant comebacks.

Hi Guys

Seil Models went bankrupt I believe , real shame as some wonderful models , now being snapped up whenever they come up , there is a new company called Linjo http://www.linjomodels.com who have the good luck to use at least one sculptor that used to work for Seil .

You are of course right , Elite have also finished , so my ones in the gray army are staying put !!!!

Well, I was wondering myself and was going to ask the same question when I did a search and found this thread. It seems a shame that Seil's molds are languishing somewhere. I guess there's no indication the line might be revived - if not by a new Seil, then by someone else?

I went to the Linjo Models site and got a bunch of broken links and 'Under Construction' notices; only a Gallery and Product (busts only) page came up. Kinda hoping for some 54mm medieval pieces...
