Ah, unfortunately that's the one that is least likely. I'm heading north on Sunday morning to try a new archery club out.
Damn.

Hi just thought I would give a mention to the Leeds IPMS show at the Royal Armouries. This was the first time that iIPMS had done the show there. I have to say it was a good show good trade stands and plenty of clubs showing off their work. The white rose club were involved in the show too. I think they did the competition.

It was busy saw a few members of PF their who came over chatted and went away with empty pockets . From what a few traders near us were saying they liked the new venue and would like to see it there again. From our point of view it’s local, lots to see as you can visit the museum, and it was a good opportunity to meet people and we did well into the bargain.

I personally think it’s the perfect venue for a Euro type show, I know my friend did one many years ago before they built the new conference centre and multi story car park. Both me and Terry went to the show and it was inside the museum. It was fantastic. It was a shame it was just a one off.

Maybe it could be looked at again. And expanded on given the rise of the fantasy side of the hobby a bigger show could maybe would work. Not everyone is a member of a club and a great many artists are out their that I think would attend shows where their is a bigger attraction.

Having done / visited shows in Europe last year, it opened my eyes to see how the whole show becomes so much more.there is definitely a buzz about them that seems so different to our own. Just my thoughts. But at the end of the day shows are good and a great way to meet like minded people and see some great work.

Well we will do it next year as we enjoyed it so much. For those who thought about coming to it it’s well worth a visit.

I was a long time member of AMSS who organised this. Unfortunally this club isn't there anymore and the last show was in 2012 and sadly it will not return.

I was there in 2012, the show made everyone welcome, and the special fruit pie they sold in the canteen... I couldn't get enough.
The presentation by Bill Horan, I was lucky enough to sit next to him and watch his demo.
And as for the get together in the evenings, when we descended on a lovely restaurant.
I have very fond memories of the shows I attended there, and more importantly the friends I made.
