.I have been working on this technique over the last few months.I have been painting with acrylics for the last ten years or so,prior to that I used oils and enamels.My earlier technique with acrylics had a harder edge to it.Glad you like my lastest technique.The colors I used for the face were Vallejo.Beige Red 804,Yellow ochre 913,Flat Red 957,Hull Red 985 ,Extra Dark Green896 and White 951. The base color of the flesh was Beige Red with very small amounts of yellow ochre and Flat red.I also used very small amounts of Xtra Dark Green into the base flesh tone to create the five o'clock shadow. Very small amounts of Xtra Dark green were also mixed into the base tone on the foerhead and under the eyes.I used small amounts of Hull Red that I mixed into the base color, which I painted under the eye brow and under the bottom lip to give more depth.White was mixed in various amounts to the base color to create the highlights, as was Hull Red and Extra Dark Green mixed to the base color to create the darker shadows around the edge of the face and under the chin. Hope this is of some help.I am working on two other 54mm figures at the moment and using the same technique.I will try and post some different stages of the painting process.
Hi Guys,I have just finished this figure by Andrea mniatures of a Viking.It has been one of those figures that has been on my work bench off and on over the last few years,it originally came with a dog.I was not that keen on the dog so decided to not use it. Hope you like the end result.
