Hey Mike ,spot on painting as usual,be interested to see how you handle those large areas of clothing.

Thanks mate! Will be an interesting challenge for sure. May have to invest in some larger brushes methinks ;-)

Trust all well with you & family.

Mike

Come on Mike you tease, give us another update...drooling..
Les

Haven't had time ot do much more Les. Tidied up face & began hands last night, probably no more for another couple of nights. If I make some progress may get some snaps on weekend. Will have to see :)

Wow!...what more can be said about that face!

Your work just looks so realistic Mike, ....incredible skin tones.(y)

Cheer's,
Jeff.

Way too kind Jeff. Skin tones can be a toughie, trying an "olive tone" recipe for this one based around Jo Sonja Deep Raw Sienna.
Lovely colour so will have to see how it comes off on hands during the week.
Also have blue, green & red mixed in various layers.

Thanks for your support.

Mike

That is one huge figure, can't wait to see how you deal with the uniform.

In your last photo there is a figure of William tell and Walter, is it available? which manufacturer?
Thanks
Mark

Alexandros & Jimbo, thanks for posting your comments guys. Glad you like the first stage of this one.
Will have to see where it goes to next though, it will be a real journey.

Stay safe,

Mike

Mike, that's even better. That way I won't be saying...wait o_O !... what happened:wideyed: ?...can you do that again:notworthy: !... :D

Joe

Hi Joe, unfortunately I'm not a very systematic painter & am trying to get a better sense of this in anticipation of writing an article on my approach for publishing.
Got a few ideas on how I approach things many noted in my MedRom figures over the years. Each one is an experiment in how to get more realistic textures & tones.
Call by http://forums.delphiforums.com/medrenfig/messages?msg=2883.1 & have a look at past projects. This may be of some help, if not just ask a question & I'll do my best to ask.

Thanks for your interest.

Mike

Hey Mike, I'll check out the forum straight away. Good luck on your published work, and I know without a doubt that it will be welcomed by many. Thanks!

Joe

No promises on article mate, still some negotiation from publisher on this, may or may not come off. Will keep you posted Joe.

Stay safe,

Mike

Slow but steady progress, note helmet will get a cover over it in next stage.

What do you think?
