I'm late into this thread, and what have I been missing!
That's some terrific paintwork Mike. Love how you did the texture of the webbing. Leather jerkin is excellent as well.
You'd think things become easier when they're bigger, but when you start doing such details, the reverse must be true!
Great stuff.
Cheers,
Adrian

Appreciated Adrian :)
Yep I am looking forward to smaller figures for awhile, though have enjoyed & am still enjoying the challenge on this guy immensely.

Been a lot longer than I would like for these next progress shots.
Work got in the way unfortunately - it has a way of doing that ;-)

Finally done! Though not on his proper base. Took a quick snap before hitting the sack tonight.
Will endeavour to get some more shots of full figure in days to come.
Bottom half to finalise stages on this thread for your consideration.

A relieved modeller ;-)

What's blowing me away is how you replaced part of the casting with real scale wool dyed the proper shade of khaki - none of that 1/6th crap with the big stitching. Amazing job and I am sure epic patience!

Thanks Colin though not sure what you meant ref "replaced casting"?
I just added a helmet cover from fine gauze bandage.
The rest is paint.
