I'll be watching this one closely but unfortunately I can't join in. Got too much on the go at the moment for my tiny brain to cope with so I'll be a spectator for this one. Well, that and the fact that I can't paint for toffee (improving with each new project though...I think)

Billy :)

Hi folks!

Just to inform that my Scharführer is ready for paint when all is ready.
I´ve made a change in shoulder boards as I previously mentioned in PM.

Cheers

PS Perhaps something like this will happen again (y)

Great idea, will view the progress. Dont do the SS in any form, bust or figure.
Hello Rob, In the upcoming paint-a-thon, there are no set rules in how you paint, or display, this bust from Stormtroopers. The bust doesn't have to painted as an officer from the waffen ss, if you don't want to represent it in that way. You could convert it to a Wehrmacht officer, or perhaps an officer from a completely different army. The choice is yours. The one thing that surprises me about conversions, pertaining to busts, especially in the 1/10th, and 1/9th scale, is that there are no photo-etch sets with medals, or decorations, to use on them, as far as I know. And I'm not just talking about WWII. With all the different subjects that are being produced in these scales, it would be great to see some medals, and awards to decorate our figures/busts with. It would make it a little easier than having to try and sculpt them. Regards, SG:)(y)

Hi Guys ,

Like SG says there are no rules in this paintathon and you can do what you like ...I shall be looking at possibly converting the piece and will be looking at a lot of references this weekend (possibly WW1) .........

................prior t0 "P" Day on the 3rd.

Rob ,
Why not post your idea's on the V Bench thread or perhaps even join us you will be most welcome.

SG ,
Like the idea of the awards in photo-etch as well ...can't think of any so it would be out with the putty!!!
