I read the same about the Celts Richard, they liked color and being gaidy by our standards. The TM Celt will have vertical dark blue stripes down his leg with creme color pinstripe down each darker blue stripe.......I Hope......I should have some of the vertical stripes painted in tomorrow, as I need for the paint to dry tonight, and will post a pic of the progress

Fantastic vignette,Guy,I really like the way the figures are turning out (y) I really love the base and the groundwork !Are those real "rocks" Looking forward to seeing the vignette done.Cheers Kenneth.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I appreciate them.

Kenneth the rocks are part of one of many resin cast bases I have accumulated over the years and I just incorporated it in with the normal groundwork plaster I use.

Thanks for the reply,Guy I really appreciate it. I've already done the mock-ups for the 2 ACW figgies in my latest project and am currently working on the seated figure.I'll post some pictures for you to see soon.Cheers (y)

Thanks John, for the compliment. I try to always paint the next figure better than I did the last. And you guys have sure helped me in that respect. (y)

Guy Dood

For pitys sake pack it in dood, how are we poor mortals supposed to catch up with your skills when the only guy who paints faster than you is Anders,

Lovely work my friend

Robin

Thanks Robin,
But I have an unfair advantage over many in the planet Being retired, I have alot of time to paint where as I am really a slow painter. I also happen to have quite a few projects ongoing and when I finish a couple, it seems as though I cranked them right out. I will recognize Anders as the reigning speed painter. . Now back to my chair to soak up some sunshine before wandering inside to paint (yea....right......its friggin 20 degrees here)

hehe
Anders is the world speed painting champeen!!!, seriously mate the work slow or fast never fails to look real Kewl

While the Ashgasru is drying.......I swung over to start the dark blue stripes on the 2nd Celt. I run the outside edges first and then come back and fill in the stripe. I keep a bottle of clean thinner and a clean brush handy in case I stray too much. While I was doing the second one here......my cat, jumped up on the back of my chair......so I was glad the thinner and brush was there......the traumatised cat will someday come out from under the bed.

Hey Guy!

He is looking very good! I think that a plaid could be effective as the other guy also have stripes. If you are not sure you want to do it, go in with photoshop and paint the plaid on the second figure and see how it looks! AAAh the wonders of technology!!

Keep up the great work! Im looking forward to seeing this one finished.

Thanks Jim and Anders,
It was my conclusion too that since the Elite Celt already had stripes, I would do a plaid on the TM Celt. Cross your fingers.........here we go!

here I start the horizontal stripes to form a plaid. I will have cream colored stripes (thin line) down and accross each dark blue stripe.

Here is the finished 1st coat (its gotta have a second coat on the dark blue due to floquil paint being real thin and almost transparent at times. I will then box out each intersection with mars black where each stripe overlaps the other)
