I use acrylics and inks. For the clothes, dark blue, secession blue I pass a black ink wash to darken everything, Then I lighten the dark blue by adding golden brown to the dark blue, then bone white. Not clear but simply.

I like the concept of the black ink wash to deepen shadows, but I believe this is giving too glossy a finish. I would try to have a pass with a Matt varnish like AK Ultramatt to dampen the glossy look (see boxart)

You're absolutely right!
Now I will proceed to weathering bust with earth color paint, and true earth of my garden.

Hi Nap, thanks for your attention. I don't apply a Matting to tone down the shine on the clothing. I leave like this.
