These great busts come from Black Heart Models and are sculpted by Jeff Yagher, each about 1/6 scale. I’ve been buying them and ended up with seventeen sitting here, so figured I’d try doing the lot in one go. I have a big Enterprise model to build as well, so maybe a big display ahead with everything on one base. So far I’ve cleaned them up, primed, and tried a verdaccio base. I’ve just added the first shot with flesh tones. Miles to go with shading these, but a project that reminds me this can be a really fun hobby, not always hard work:)

I'm not a Star Trek anorak so there's a handful there that I don't recognise.

All great busts though and I love the Gorn reptilian. That was a classic episode and it's a pity that we didn't see more of the Gorn. AFAIK that was the race's only appearance in any incarnation of the show.

Off to a great start, and I'll be dropping back in to see how you are getting on with a very ambitious project.

Looking good so far. The sculptor has done a wonderful job of capturing the likeness on each of those characters, outstanding work,

The Gorn do turn up in other "Star Trek" series, at least in reference if not in person. I didn't know that off-hand; I just looked up the episode to clarify my memory of Ted Cassidy and his connection to it. I always think he was in the suit, but he only did the voice.

I like that someone actually did a sculpt of Clint Howard as Baalok. Another great character and episode!

Prost!
