Hello, everyone.:)
I'm making this figure at present.
(U.S. ARMY BAR GUNNER WW1)
This is 120mm figure of VERLINDEN.
A head was exchanged, but a muffler was made with itself because a neck was too thin.
The spare head was also a little small, but I didn't think I'd like to use a head of a kit.
Assembly was very easy for a kit.
A ground work is as usual.:)

Mitsutaka, I think you did a good job here. With the scarf on and put into the primer this figure looks balanced and sometimes Caucasian men have a long neck.
Good luck with the painting.

groeten from, Willem

Hello WPS.

Thank you very much for your kind comment, WPS.:)
It was a first thing to model a scarf.
It's difficult to make the shape.
But later Iwould like to enjoy painting.

Thank you very much ,vergilius.

Thank you very much for your warm comment, vergilius.:)
Only this SCULPTING is made of my present technology.
There is a little rough part, so it'll be covered with painting.

Hi Mitsutaka,

You haven't wasted any time starting work on your next project. Well done, you've made a great start so far. I'm looking forward to seeing how this will turn out. One question, do you intend to put a helmet on his head??

Thank you very much, my freind.

Thank you very much for your kind comment, tonydawe.:)
When this helmet is the British type, and this figure puts this, almost no face is seen any more.
It's done because of that.
Another reason is that a head of a kit looked monotonous.

arigato, Janus.

Thank you very much for your polite comment, Janus.:)
I think this figure will be also completed right now.
If you're looking forward to that, I'm very happy.:)

Texture......

Hello, everyone.:)
Before painting, I disposed of foundation.
I used black of oil paints and white of oil paints.
When I take a picture after picking with a brush, it looks lighter than the front.
The oil paints I use dry in 1 day in room temperature.
next process is as usual.:)

Thank you so much, megroot. (Basic paint was done.)

Thank you very much for your kind comment, megroot.:)
I'll make an effort until completion.

Basic painting has ended, so I'd like to contribute this.
The respective colors are being blown after black is blown first.
Corrected room is left for a left eye.

The rest is completion painting by a dry brush.

Excellent Work

A nice start, thanks for sharing your work as you go.

One thing - his left eye looks odd. A bit twisted and high on the inside....

The insides of the yes should be on the same line when viewed from the front, but the figures left eye in side looks like it is going up.

(The part where the tears come out)

It may just be the effect of the light of photography though, I could be wrong.

The rest of the face and the start of the figure; excellent.

Cheers

Thank you very much my freind.

Thank you very much for your kind comment and advice, tonydawe.:)
A texture was put on this figure, so I could use only a dry brush for painting of completion any more.
A face isn't painted by a dry brush, but...
I'd like to do weathering carefully with your advice.

Hello Janus.

Thank you very much for your polite comment and advice, Janus.:)
A head of this figure is the stage of modeling, and I think the height of the eye wasn't same.
However then it's too ugly, so I'm thinking a left eye to draw again just as it is.
However whether it can be corrected, there are no confidences for me.
The processes of the rest are facial completion and painting of a ground work.:)

Thank very much Janus. (completion of figure)

Thank you very much for a word of an encouragement, Janus.:)
I'm thinking correction of an eye to correct by the last echelon.

I entered the stage of the completion of a figure.
I have completed it by a dry brush of oil paints mainly.
I made them emphasize the texture given to the surface.
A button and metallic color were painted in the end and a gun was glued together.:)
