hello friends and merry Christmas.this is my new project.i will post progress as i paint.the idea came from the romeo models figure the mountain man and after i saw the excellent mantis miniatures releases i decided to add the little bear as the man ,s company.so here we are at the start.hope you like the progress

Yes, I think you're off to a very good start. However, I hope you won't be
offended if I mention something about composition. Now you realize, I am
just stating my opinion. And that does not mean it is fact. You and others may
feel that my idea that I'm going to mention is not worthy of your consideration.
And that is alright. . .

But as I see it, having that tree trunk curving off to the left away from the
main focus of the viewer's eye, is a mistake. I feel you should turn the tree
trunk so that the curve brings the viewer's eye back into the composition,
back toward the figure. Of course, the figure is the most important part of this
presentation as I see it.

Well, remember, this is just one person's opinion. . . . I wish you well,

I agree. The fact that the tree trunk, pointing outside, visually increases the space between the bear and the trapper. You have made a nice scene and the painting work made so far, is very good.(y)
