He looks a knarly kinda guy Brian :)
Always like the different interpretations of this little bust & this one is no different.
Especially like the leather & mail effect.

Nice work. have personally some problems with the blue color around the mouth.

Marc, that sounds pretty nasty to me,....:sick: don't muck around, nip off to the doctors straight away and have that looked at......cheers mate.:cool:
 
This is a very popular piece brian,I really like the flesh tones,have you changed your usual technique for faces on this one ?
 
I always try to use different flesh tones when i can.This is my basic skin tone, with a bit of blue and raw umber to grey it down more than usual.I really don't have a face painting formula as such,but i use different undercoats, on different faces, as i find with oils the undercoat dictates the final result.This particular face, was oils applied over a grey primer.
