Hi All

Long time no see!! I have not touched modelling for around 18 months, but have decided to do something a bit different to get the mojo flowing.....................so I had a crack converting this 22" beast!!

It's a Neca action figure, which I stripped down, cleaned, created a pose and then sculpted all the joints.

Teethe and nails will be metallic (foil)

It's primed to show the defects and required sculpt repairs. I will then prime again before painting:-

Dome was stripped of paint and reshaped

Hands were also reshaped

Legs were posed and locked in to position

Dome now fits nicely with upper body sculpting complete (note I am not going for a movie accurate clear dome, as the original dome was badly marked)

I'll clean it up and will post again once painting begins.

Cheers

I think a flat industrial base will do the job, but plenty of sorting out to do prior to that!

looks very impressive mate if you want to make it look really huge I have an idea that might work for the base. Will post a link when I am on the computer later. Nice hound too mate.

Oh Dr. Force, da force is definitely with you, Sir.
You're doing a beautiful job on this project. I
will follow it with much interest. And am eager to
see more. What material do you use for sculpting?

Regards, Miami Jayhawk

@ Steve, yes I need a good idea for a base so please let me know what you think.

I use Magic Sculpt for sculpting, its great to use, easy to manipulate and drys rock hard.

brilliant idea that, they are way out of scale though. however I'll see if I can pick up some quarter scale skulls off fleabay....................................

Thanks Richie.

This is for my Cinema room so it has to be special!!

I have decided on an industrial base, with him stood on two large air vents, with some pipework etc. This way I get some further height and the feeling of the ship.

Hi All

Quick update on the progress.

I managed to come up with a good idea for the base using a round cheese board, some old trunking and plastic 1/16 Tank tracks lol.

I will continue to sculpt the individual worms. Once they are complete I will sculpt 3 highly detailed larger worms surrounding the base of the egg. Ignore the egg for now as it is also being reskined with the lights shining through the cracks.

Lots of tidying to to do on the Xenomorph and I will sculpt a couple of chest busters to sit within the worms......................onward and upward!!
