Here's couple of my prime references & inspirations:
1. ANZAC VC legend - Capt Alfred Shout shaving pre Gallipoli
2. Kiwis 'enjoying' wash duties

Very nice idea and execution. Cheers. John
Very nice to see two great artists collaborating on this project. I admire both Mike's and Andy's works.
Really great idea Mike - look forward to seeing this when its complete. Greg
Thanks John, DocBison & Greg.
Always nice getting comments, also happy to take questions if any?

Here's the guy in the home he'll live in eventually - an improved shellhole. He's stuck here until nightfall, so everything has to be done in the hole. Notice he even has an 'en suite' behind him!
Making progress on Andy's little guy.
Plenty to go and enjoying it!

P.S. Scrappy iPhone photo only ;-)

What a cracking wee scene, Mike I'm disappointed you haven't done an inscription on the wedding ring though. ;) The sculpting and converting Andy has done is fantastic, keep 'em coming guys, pure class.
Scotty.

So exciting to see Mike's magic going onto him! He's coming alive! Loving all the little details like a ring on his finger and the way the shaving soap fades out - those 'Mike' details that appear when you look closer! Look closer at my painting and it gets embarrasing! Not so with Mr Butler!

Darn knew I'd forgotten something Scotty!!
Thanks mate!
I'm sure Mike did the inscription - but on the inside, of course ...
Doc - top idea!
Now how do I get that ring off his finger?

Andy, decided to leave shirt cleanish, after removing muddy jacket ;-)
Now onto braces & puttees.

Mike Simply amazing work ......... love the half shaved .....as for the webbing .......beautiful modelling , hard to believe it's not a larger scale . Both the trench from Andrew and the figure works so very right

No worries Mike! I’m on holiday and there’s no hurry anyway. Come back, when you can, with fresh energy for him. Don’t let him become a task. I want you to enjoy painting him!

Well he's done now Andy!
Took bit longer than I'd like with life & other projects interrupting his journey.
Here's young 'Percy Munn' for you & fellow Planeteers to consider.
Thoughts, feedback anyone?
