He's come home for Christmas!! The shaving Kiwi is back in Blighty. My only frustration was that my optiviser and close up glasses are here at work, so all I could do was strain my tired eyes in the evening light. It's mind-boggling looking at the blown-up images and having the figure in front of you, seeing how small he is!! THANK YOU SO MUCH Mike!! He'll be put in his shell hole over Christmas break and then I'll post some photos.

Good to hear from you Ski & nice to hear from you mate.
Turned into a very rewarding project due to Andy giving opportunity to paint one of his creations.

Insane!! What detail!
An absolutely fantastic piece of work. Very, very impressive.
HansDig & Sarge - Appreciate you both taking time to comment.

Merry Yuletide Greetings to all my fellow Planeteers.

Excellent conversion and scratch-building by Andrew, followed by superb painting by Mike, has produced a magnificent little gem.
Very well done, the pair of you.
Cheers,
Andrew
Thanks Andrew for your support.
Hoping this will be the first of a number of shared projects with Andy “The Trench guy”

I worked on Perey's shellhole yesterday and here are some photos taken quickly on my ipad. If you look closely, you'll see that I've added a tin cup and trench club to the shelf. His shaving mirror is resting on a Tommy Cooker. I scratch-built all except the cup, which is a Tommy's War spare. The roll cloth with cutlery, etc was made by me and painted by Mike. There is also a scratch-built perescope by Perey's feet. Painted by me - it's so hard to put my paintwork next to Mike's!

HAPPY New Year!!
