A Fixture
Hello Planeteers and Happy New year to you all.
After a month and a half out of town i am back on my workbench and with happy brushes to paint some new figures.
I have ordered 4 cavalrymen from Steve Barber, owner and scultor locayed in the UK.
This figures were comissioned to him by Johan Peter Scheck from Germany.
The figures looks great, the details on the uniform are very nice and accurate.
I may replace the heads ( keeping the hats) like i did with the Standatd bearer since i want to add variety and avoid having the same face over and over within the group of cavalrymen.
These figures could be either Gendarmes de la garde du Roi or Chevaux-legéres, the ONLY difference on their uniform, at least until 1762 was that the gold lace for the Chevaux-legéres had some intermixed silver lace near the buttonhole on the gold lace.
The uniform consisted of a beautiful scarlet/red coat, gold lace, black velvet cuffs with gold lace , red troussers and buff color vest.
I have ordered 4 figures for now, i am planning to add some variations , perhaps arms in different position to add to the scene, thes etrooos will be added to the gardes Francaises and Suisses.
Here is the link to Steve Barber website, you can also find him on facebook.
