Thanks Eduardo, Mobo and John. Making pictures of the miniatures is a thing that (also) needs improving. I sharpen them a bit more afterwards which leaves white spotes... will thy to make better ones but with vignettes like this, on which there are things both in front as in the back it's difficult to get all items sharp in one shot so suggestions are welcome ( I use a Nikon D5600 )
Nice dynamic vignette Hans!!Thanks Eduardo, Mobo and John. Making pictures of the miniatures is a thing that (also) needs improving. Great idea , I can give that a try and rest assure, even with my Nikon D5600 it is almost impossible to get it all sharp.Nice dynamic vignette Hans!!
I have the same problem when taking pictures of my 28mm vignettes. To focus all the figures and stuff is really a nightmare. My camera is a compact and only goes down to f8. What I do to focus all the figures foreground and background is to take several pictures in the same position (and of course lighting conditions) but focusing different parts (for example; a couple of pictures of figures or items in the background, some of the ones in the foreground, some of the middle, and so on. In PS I then create a layer with each picture; paste them all together and with the eraser tool, go on erasing the parts of each layer (picture) that are out of focus until I create a "all focused" picture. With 4 or 5 layers you can get away with it. It's a bit time consuming and not very pro, I know, but it works for me.
Hope it helps.
