I'm running out of quips to add to my comments, and I've been tardy getting to your work, Malc, my bad. Winter prep is taking up most of my time and everything else, as life is, but I finally get a look-see at your progress, excellent, looking mighty fine to me. Ruck On, Brother!

Hi Steve, I'm glad you're liking what you see, despite the issues, this is a great kit to paint.

Hi Malc

Well done on the second putty work on the cloak , must admit painting this much black scares me but your really pulling this piece together , like the worn look

Look forward to seeing more

Have fun @ the bench

Cheers Nap, I finally got there in the end, the cloak was a bit of a bugger to get in place, in my case anyway.
Painting that much black is not as hard as it may look.

Well I've finally got the left arm in position, a little fiddly, but not as bad as I'd first thought.
There's just a bit more work required on the right arm before fitting, and then the groundwork to finish off.

He is really looking the business now, the shield is really good. Is the right arm just a flesh wound!

Cheers Simon

Cheers Nap, An enjoyable figure to work on even with the odd issues, although I am pleased its nearly finished.
TFB's ACW Texan up next.

That’s great to hear , it’s going to look really good on the groundwork ......what’s the idea for that ?

Enjoy the benchtime

Nap

Thanks Nap, well I thought the figure was complete, while working on the groundwork, I noticed some gaps by the right arm and cloak, so I've had to do some more filling.
Like Simon said " It doesn't matter how many dry runs you do, when it comes to the final fitting it doesn't sit properly.
In this instance, the cloak prevented a clean fit. :(.
As for the groundwork, I had originally thought of setting him on some battlements, sadly it did work out as I'd planned, so I opted for
something more straightforward, and in this case it works well. Just needs painting.

Oh well, its back to Grandad duties for today.

Malc
