    WIP Mary's Centurion 2

I wasn't quite sure how to highlight the metals without overdoing it and getting a 'garish' effect; 'how to's' are welcome. And if I'm getting better faster, it's because I rely completely on PF and the inspiration here. I don't have any other modellers or shows in my area so have never seen...

I would like to add a special thanks to Sergey Popovichenko for his awesome inspiration; if it wasn't for his stunning work I wouldn't have had the courage to try this piece. And all of your for being my 'cheering section'!;) Mary

    Kisifer's bases

Hello all, I thought I'd post a quick review of Xenophon's olive wood bases that I recently purchased. They are beautifully crafted and came very well packaged. Highly recommended, products and service are excellent. His member name is Kisifer here on PF. Mary

What would you paint as a gift?

I have a good friend who has just gone through a painful separation. He is fascinated with historical models, so I am going to try and paint one for his birthday. If you were to paint a particular figure for a very special gift, what would it be and for whom? Mary

    WIP ARBEIT MACHT FREI

I think it is very difficult to portray the horrific suffering of the Holocaust without the figure looking 'comic.' The painting is very well done; removing the bird on the shoulder I think would add to the power of the piece. A daring and commendable effort! I must add that I am impressed by...

    Need help on this one!

Hi Carl, I dry fitted the knight and then the horse parts individually, but I couldn't hold all the parts together to put the man on the horse...it never occurred to me there would be a possible problem like this. the joys of modelling....

    Need help on this one!

yes Carl...it flows off his shoulders and sits behind the saddle on the horse's rump. No way should this happen in my opinion. I was worried it was something I did wrong but can't see what.

    Need help on this one!

Many of you know I'm working on the 90mm Pegaso Crusader...I have almost completed the knight but have a big problem. While working on the horse, I glued the saddle in place and decided to 'dry fit' the knight. The knight itself was built in stages, the cloak, then the cowl hood, then the head...
