    Help with SS figures

Hi Filipe, from the photos, only the neck section of the sitting figure resembles to the S&D figure, hard to say... As for the Alpine figure, if you want to be historicaly correct, you should add knee reinforcements for camo version, the autum / brown side and the pead dot pattern had that (or...

Completed Critique SOL model 1/9 - Musa, the warrior

Thanks! :) @sippog - the hair is industrial hemp, take a wider piece, superglue the end and split it to strands as needed - keep the thin pieces together by the superglued end, one by one it would be difficult to glue to place. Also, some strands can be ticker to give volume. Form it to shape...

Completed Critique SOL model 1/9 - Musa, the warrior

Thanks for taking the time to comment, you're too kind! The figure offers himself with the stance and all fine details, actually got to know the film after I got it. There is a pair of it, general Choi Yung with a sword, will follow some day. Both are perfect copies of their movie character, but...

    Completed Rattenkrieg!!

Very well done! Attractive piece all over, I'm with the others on all accounts - great texture on the coat, excellent colour selection :playful: ..but a bit more dirt and a little more definition of the groundwork in front of him would help. Regards Denes

Thank you for the comments! :) @Jenghiz, yes, Musa means warrior and the title varied. The positure is based on the movie's poster. The figure is available again ;) @Joe55, not a cult character for sure, but the figure is outstanding. Cheers Denes

Completed Critique SOL model 1/9 - Musa, the warrior

Hi Folks, finished this beautiful sculpt from SOL, depicting salve Yeosol from the Korean movie Musa. The casting and fit was excellent despite the size, but as usual from SOL, painted in acrylics. All comments are welcome! Denes

Jeff Shiu Totenkopf MG42 Gunner Kharkov

Hi Rompy, additionally to the previous useful advises on weathering, keep the same painting principals for the mud, as for the rest of the figure. Painting some highlights and shadows will make it look more natural, now it lacks contrast and looks a bit flat compared to the upper part. Nice...

WIP Critique 1/16 The officer & his doberman

Hi Kaz, great project! The stand looks good and that's one of the best dogs around already! :joyful: Also, thanks for sharing all the info on it, I really enjoy to read details on the process, other's comments and the flexibility you show. Hope it will be commercial in the end! Cheers Denes

WIP Critique GI BAR Gunner - Alpine Miniatures - 1/16 - next step

Excellent work Adrian, top notch! I wouldn't worry about the skintones either.. depending how long the guy's been out. On many winter photos the dirt and fatigue looks like kind of a tan, in action blush would be normal too, I think, not to mention the possible darker skin shades. This is not to...

    Completed Honey Bee Bust

Wow! Fantastic fleshtones, so as the rest! Really cool all around! I'd also like to hear more about oils airbrushing, not that I could ever do it, but still :) Thanks for sharing! Denes

    1/9 USMC BAR-gunner, Chosin Reservoir, Nov-Des 1950

Hi Sverre, excellent sculpt, very naturals folds, sharp details and a talkative character! You may agree with the fellas on the hollow back, in my opinion bust are more about the character, not that much of a 360 degree subject and the back is less important, it's a matter of personal taste...

Alpine Miniatures - 16020 WSS MG Ammo Carrier (1/16) Resin

I have to agree with most of you, it is totally awesome figure! (y) Mainly because of the body language and the perfectly fitting expression (it has an expression!), some of you like it, some don't, which is fine. To me it shows surprise or tiredness and despair, seen on many wartime photos...
