It is a good looking figure, must admit I had to Google Franka but the sculpture looks very close to the drawn character .

Yep I use Halfords Primer now as well. I used to use the Tamiya one but found that it appear to give a very smooth surface and I had a problem getting arylics to cover evenly.

I have just used Fairy Power Spray on a resin figure. Took a couple of goes and accidently left it for more than 30 minutes but cleaned oil and automotive primer paint off a treat.

That looks really good Helm. Funny enough I was looking through some Chris Achilleos books and some comics I have and was thinking about doing an Elric the Albino Prince of Melniborne. Thought that an Elf figure or the Pegaso's Roming Knight would be a good starting point for him.
