I'll be interested to see the SGM painted up...I dunno, but there is something about the smirk...to me, it just doesn't seem to fit. Still tho, nicely sculpted as we have come to expect from a Latorre figger...

I am not an expert in the area of carb counting, but lets face it, running around ol Sherwood Forrest trying to find Maid Marion or raid tax revenue would make any man a lil "wirey." The painting of the piece is awesome...the light contrast might also add to the "wirey" appearance.

Looks nice and crisp...Good to see a vignette like this. I am, however, a lil curious why the sculptor chose to have the ankles and feet up on the heels. Maybe he wanted to show off the detail of the soles of the boots or his "dogs" were barking (feet hurt) but, a more relaxed and natural pose...

    Bust I just finished up

Brock, Really up to you... My recommendation is to use a very think acrylic glaze over the oils to get the hightlights when the oils are still a lil wet. Consider trying on your next piece... All the best Patrick

    Bust I just finished up

Brock, My only comment would be to add a lil more dramatic highlight to your flesh tones...at the tip of the nose, the nostrils and at the highest points on the cheeks...this will really make the face stand out. Not sure what you used for the 5o'clock shadow, but might want to consider blending...

    Most difficult color.

Great tip Phil...I am getting ready to paint a white uniform and am eager to give this a try...I'll shoot you some WIP pics, ok? Would have never thought about using Sepia in a mix for white...I guess the key is just a litte dab of Sepia, right? All the best, my friend Patrick
