    Painting over old painted figures

Easy Off makes a "no fumes" product that works well without the toxic odor, and it's prety gentle on the hands. I've used it for quite a while with great success on metal and resin. Just watch your exposure time. I do it in 20 min increments and use an old toothbrush to clean the tight spots.

    dracula bust with timelapse wip

Your painting is superb, Mark. The time lapse video is a brilliant storke. I just wish I could slow it down a little. Thanks for clearing out the cobwebs with this very creative post.

    Is it finished?

Da Vinci may have said it best: "Art is never finished, only abandoned."

please help with technique for washes.

I'm a little surprised that everone seems so down on washes. They can be hard to control, but they can be controlled with practice, IMHO. I don't use them much, but they have their uses. Here are some general guidlines on mixing ratios. These are a place to start, and you will undoubtedly find...

    Long Island Show

I was there and this was a great show, despite the lower turnout. While I'm sure the economy has something to do with that, we need to make the effort to support these shows or they and the dealers who support them will be gone. I hope that the "regulars" will be back next year.

    HM Magazine Release Date

Steven, I think most of us loyal subscribers understand that "life happens" and that the magazine is the work of a small, devoted few. As long as you keep us infomred, as you have done here, I doubt that there is a subscriber that will not stick with you. IMHO, your magazine is the best...

    Serious Figure Problem-Dilemma

I have to be "on fire" with enthusiasm and inspiration to do a figure, so I run through my gray army until one picks me! Who knows where these feelings come from - and I really don't care. I'm having fun and that's really all that matters. Nothing worse than losing your drive half way...
