Hi For a dark uniform .....I would start with a black undercoat then put on blue black.... highlight up with a lighter blue mixed into your base to keep the colours relative to each other high highlights can have a tiny bit of white mixed in to lighten further its all about experimentation ...

Hi The success or failure.... with the paint set will depend on the ability of the painter ...the same for the colour mixer I think the colour sets offer a shortcut no more than that Frank

Hi The only thing I can think of is paint being trapped in the ferrule. This will not shift with washing during the painting session. What may help recover your brush is to wash it with isopropyl alcohol get it deep into the ferrule to let it dissolve any dried paint . Hope this may be of...
