    Wot no Figurines?

The editor of Figurines, Dominique Breffort, speaks five different languages fluently, including English. He is fully capable of translating "figure or Model jargon" as he is both a modeler and figure painter. I wrote many articles for him over the years, all in English which he translated to...

    Incoming......

Thanks again guys! I am glad you like them. I have avoided doing 1/35th scale for many years. But now that I am doing them I am having fun with them. Cheers!! :D Mike

    1/16 U.S. Paratrooper 101st Airborne w/spoils of war

Nope, not so! An average guy in true 1/16th scale is about 110mm in size. 120mm is NOT a scale, but a size. It harkens back to early Verlinden figures which, presumably, were closer to 1/15th scale in size to correspond to some ancient and long forgotten model kits by Bandai. And thus, just as...

    Incoming......

Wow guys, thanks for the ringing endorsements! :D:cool: Mat, that is the oldest question I ever hear. The red stuff is a putty/primer I have been using for 40 years or so. The rest is mostly done with Aves Apoxie Sculpt (white) and a little bit of green-stuff (Duro), plastic and wire. As for...

There is a fourth figure to this series that I have not posted until now. This one wears the tanker overall....

    Germans WWI from Stalingrad

The Meng kit HAS full interior detail, unlike the prehistoric Tauro kit....... Notice also that I have posted the fourth figure (not shown previously) in The Model Cellar's WWI German tank crew series (shown at the bottom of pg. 3). http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/incoming.69563/ I am...

    Ultracast Luftwaffe late war pilot

Nice job Mario! This is painted as nicely as I have ever seen for this old figure. But, I am sorry to say, the flight suit is not appropriate for a Komet pilot. The Komet carried a highly volatile fuel that was highly corrosive to nearly anything organic. The pilot's seat was essentially nestled...

    Warpaint Studio

Thanks dude. It is my sculpt. He is simply a generic "gangster". It was pretty much the only one of those sculpts I really liked and the only one of the Dusty Trails sculpts that i never received a casting of.....

Uniform question for Mike Whitman Bust

Yes, he did wear these overalls in Normandy. There are several photos that show him wearing them. There has been much speculation as to where they originated, but the fact that a reporter interviewing him said they were blue in no way implies that they were necessarily "Luftwaffe" in origin...

    1/48 from Stalingrad

Despite the fact that Tamiya (as well as other manufacturers) have been producing wonderful 1/48th scale armor kits for years, decent figures to go with them are rare as hens' teeth. These figures are one of the few exceptions - they look great for the scale! :wideyed::woot:(y) Thanks!

    USAS AMERICAN PILOT 1918

Hobbycraft has had a quite good Spad XIII kit available for many years. It is not a Wingnuts kit, but I would say that it is right behind them in quality. Then Roden do a very nice Nieuport 28 kit, also in 1/32nd scale......

    Infantry Officer American Revolution 1777

Nice one Rod! When I first saw the photos, I thought it was the old Airfix kit of George Washington. They are remarkably similar. But yours is much nicer in all respects. Great work!

    Completed "Franz & Emil"

Dan, It is really nice to see these guys so nicely painted! These figures had been on my bucket list for at least the past 30 years or so.... Marco, these figures have been out for quite a while now. They are STILL available from the Model Cellar. Look about half way down the front page...
