    Andrea Musketeers

Very nicely painted, they'll make a great vignette when all four are finished.

    Compagnie franche de la marine

Very nice AJ, the overall effect and the painting of fine detail make me quite envious!

Thanks for the comments. The 'jagged' look on the pics is where the contrast was adjusted on PaintshopPro - I'm still learning on my new camera! This was orginally a 4MB TIFF file, so it's been greatly compressed and converted to JPEG before uploading, and that doesn't help the quality either.

OK, Here's a lighter pic. I like the effect of the other one, but it is a bit dark!

OK, more dark green for my collection. New Hope Design figures based on the illustrations in the Osprey books these are more 'collector' than modeller in quality but fill a couple of gaps in my collection. Painted in Vallejo acrylics, these will probably be my last 54mm figures - I can hardly...

    Latorre Saxon

Hi guys - after a week without internet access I can at last get back on the web again! This is one of my latest pieces. I wanted to maintain the sombre brooding appearance of the original, but using a different pallette. Painted in oils over acrylics.

    Mr. Ball, Junior, 1918

Not bad at all Dan!! just the loops of lace on the cuffs, the the top of the shoulder and back; and he'll look nearly finished. Are you also making a sword/scabbard to go on the table with the busby - I can't remember!! (If not, don't worry about it - my ancient grey cells just ain't what they...

    Templar Sergeant XIII c.

When I made mine, I painted the face/hood in place on the figure, and the insides of the lower surcoat, arms and cloak off of the body. The outside of the cloak and hood were painted after assembly. The arms can be glued in place with the sword after all other work is complete.

    Mr. Ball, Senior - 1948

Nowadays the NCO may wear the 'Service Cap', but in 1948 it was still wartime uniform, and the 'sidecap' was general wear - sorry if I've mislead you somewhere! I would definitely prefer the sidecap if it's not too much trouble. BTW - EVB didn't actually think much of this headgear - it tended...

"Defending the Faith" Crusader vs Ghulam - 90mm

Fantastic work Costas. You know that I'm a big fan of your work, but this is the best I've seen from you yet.

    Mr. Ball, Senior - 1948

Very nice Dan. I'm going to enjoy painting these two up for my wife. Only one problem - he should have the sidecap that was in the photos that I sent, not the officers type cap that you've made. When on the table this would look flat.

That is good!! He's mean, big and will look fantastic painted. :thumb:

    Black Watch Highlander

First sculpt - really? Great work for a first attempt. What scale is it in?

    Hussar Colonel

Anthony, I certainly wouldn't call this mediocre!. I would have used dark brown to highlight the black horse, as all black horses are actually brown! No problems with the figure, althought the first picture isn't falttering - It's too great an enlargement from normal size. I'm sticking to no...

    Chasseur's uniform

Great work Roc, the green is a bit dark to see the shading so far, but your work on the lace is exemplary.

    Congratulation Italy and France

I hope that the last two matches are played in the spirit of the Germany/Italy match, where the play flowed and both teams played the ball. Unfortunately the referee for the final is the same one as for the England/Portugal game.............

    Seil Miniatures

The knight with broken lance stands out as a great single figure, and the Black Prince would take months to paint - great work on these new releases from Seil.
