    World Nations Trophy

Yup, pretty much. It happens every year at a predetermined show and it's at the World Expos on those years. Each country is a team and it sounds like some of each team judge as well. Every team paints the same figures except for the scratch and this year the fantasy figure is completely open...

Maybe that's why the US doesn't participate? :D More info here including the last results.

    World Nations Trophy

Just curious, has the US or Canada ever entered? It's at World Expo next year. Anyone wanna give it a shot? Just to participate? Maybe they'd let there be a team North America since we have to travel so far just to enter? Just throwing it out there... :)

Der Bunte Rock - Killing Time (CSA Officer)

Thanks guys. :) I try to come up with a good story for the figs. Some figs are easier than others. Sometimes I like to be a little off the wall. I have an anachronism I'm working on. :D

Der Bunte Rock - Killing Time (CSA Officer)

Thanks guys! :) Hehe, just wait. I don't know how long the stuff lasts, so I have to make sure I don't waste it. More water is coming. ;)

Der Bunte Rock - Killing Time (CSA Officer)

Finally updating my vbench slowly but surely. :) I sculpted the rabbit with the idea that he (wisely) decided to head underground while the officer shoots a few rounds at bottles. It was a fun figure to paint too. :thumb:

Nice job on this one Stephen. I've always like this figure. Jay beat me to commenting on the leopard skin, but you're right, a couple minutes spent will take care of it. Interesting idea with the varnish. I might have to play with my gloss and matte mediums the next time I paint a horse. :)...

    Hello Everyone!

Welcome Joe. :) Maybe start on a 54mm and work up? A lot of painting is doing a neat job, making sure the paint isn't too thick, knowing what colors to use for realistic shadows and highlights and how to mix them, and all that comes with experience. Just give it a go. Worse case with metal...

    Michigan Show

Some new things to announce with regards to the Michigan Historical Collectibles Show/Michigan Historical Miniatures Club Painting Exhibition (aka "the January Show" around these parts). First, the Detroit area show is now in November. November 20-21 to be specific. (MUCH better for...

    Vallejos

Hi Basil. I have both and Game Color does indeed tend to be a bit glossy. They are much less prone to rubbing off though. Other than that, they paint pretty much the same. :)

    Hello, and a quick question.

Welcome Joe. :) I believe Knight Models are limited edition, but some dealers may have sold out figures still in stock. Maybe Michigan Toy Soldier or Colorado Miniatures have what you want in stock. :thumb:
