    WIP Critique Capitaine Bonaparte 1793

That face is really good. You have followed the lines of the sculpt and Captured his serious facial expression. A bit of subtle high highlight and deep shadow here and there Would give the face even more life, but I think that it’s fine as it is.l

Confederate Infantryman, Texas Brigade, American Civil War

I like it. A nice vibrant paint job has bought it to life.

ANDREA MINIATURES NEW RELEASE ¨SS-Kavallerie Oberscharführer, 1941¨

This is the definitive figure of a Waffen SS Cavalryman from the early war period that I can think of. Some nice details are the horse that looks ‘right’ and the haircut and the DH watch on the wrist. The combat cap stuffed into the front bag is a nice touch. The Schmeisser looks to be on the...

    Dixie forever

Fabrizio’s painting style is clean and precise and I like it very much. I have always been fond of Shenandoah miniatures, the sculpting style appeals to me a lot, in my opinion the work of Paul Clark is unique but understated and reminds me of the Britain’s ACW range I used to collect.

    Legion Miniatures news!

As far as I am concerned Robert E. Lee is great, Despite what many say at the moment. The sculpt? I like it. I think the gravitas of the great man is portrayed.

Joachim Murat, Grand Duke of Berg, 75mm

I think it’s outstanding. Murat is a man who I would gladly follow to hell ( I was a soldier) They had such charisma, those men like him.

    Mike Chappell RIP

I think that he was the finest illustrator of British Army uniforms and equipment. His work seemed to get better and better as he aged. He must have been a fine Soldier too.

    The Warsaw Uprising 1944

Very harrowing, but also a reminder that if you want freedom, you have to be prepared to fight for it. I think that the performance of the Polish home army in Warsaw was remarkable, given that most were amateurs, but highly motivated and drawing courage from each other, they were no pushover. As...

    Green Stuff World brushes.

Best to stick with W&N’s series 7’s. I don’t think anything else will ever top them for quality.

Roman Auxilia Catafratari in Germanic Wars Figure

A fabulous miniature of a warriors death from an auxiliary Cavalryman. For personal reasons, I cannot work with a figure that depicts a killing, but for those who have no such hang-ups, a fulfilling and rewarding figure experience Awaits at the workbench.

Hi everyone! We're Big Child Creatives

I think that your Zombicide figures are outrageous, Love the characterisations and ironic humour Pity that you cannot just go buy these figures , because although I’m not a gamer, I would certainly have some for my collecting pleasure.

    5th Re. Hussards, Chef d´escadron, 1796 (esLauzun)

A lovely rendition of this figure with my favourite animal....the domestic Cat. Beautifull paintwork, probably looks even better in real life.

    Murat Grand Duke of Berg

It’s outstanding, Milky bar. I like the dappling on the horses coat- you obviously understand that Murat was a connoisseur of fine horses. Murat was one of the most charismatic soldiers in history and your figure does him justice.

Modeles & Allures - mounted Le Cimier 90mm reissue

Hi Ron, I have seen Charles Conrad’s mtd French General and Cuirassier Officer in the flesh and they are beautifully detailed, Perhaps not as good as today’s resin figs from Russia and the Far East, but they have that soldierly panache that comes from having been there yourself and the Conrad’s...

    Completed Officer, Grenadier Guards, 1854 (Troop54, 75mm)

I like this very much. The Grey of the greatcoat and cape is the devils own job to replicate on a figure.

    Mr tickles and Lollipop

It’s not what I normally like, but this is really good. The fun colours contrast well with the genuinely evil intent. It would be fun to show this piece to someone with a severe Clown phobia!

Sergeant. Grenadier Guards, Greatcoat Order. 1925

Well Bob, you take off your Beret and hold two knuckles up to the circular part of the highly polished grenade badge and the reflection looks just like two buttocks...Bill Brown! The other explanation is Bill Brown is a generic name for a Grenadier Guard, a bit like Tommy Atkins or Johnny Cope...

Sergeant. Grenadier Guards, Greatcoat Order. 1925

That’s a splendid rendition of a Guards NCO...Confident and Professional.
