Finished my last project. Joachim Murat, Grand Duke of Berg, 1806. A 75mm figure from Atelier Maket. A challenging uniform to paint and a challenging figure to assemble. Alternative sessions of painting and assembling have been used to allow all the areas to be addressed.
Hope you'll like it!
Cheers,
Zeno :)

Excellent painting Zeno. What colors did you use on the pelisse; excellent deep red tones.

Thanks a lot! Much appreciated!
Oh, well, I like to experiment on the palette and I was aiming for a deep red wine color. So, what I did is to mix Scale 75 Deep Red, Vallejo Royal Purple and Andrea Black. I got a dark purple red and that was the base coat. Darken with more black and highlighted with red and orange plus yellow. I didn't liked the color - to red-ish. So, I went back to the base color and this time I did it in purple. More black for shadows and purple plus Vallejo old rose for highlights. When I liked the contrast, I applied a filter/wash with Scale 75 Deep Red which changed the color in this nice burgundy red. I like to play in this way. All kind of nice surprises are coming out.
Hope it helps! :)
