Review Reedees Miniatures' 1/9th scale ammunition belts

As a paying customer, I was fortunate enough to purchase some lengths of "pre-release" 1/9th scale ammunition belts from Steve Readdie last week (in conjunction with a bespoke badge he did for me...but that's another story for later on...:angelic: ). After the ubiquitous Paypal transaction, 2...

    Cap badge request...

Chaps (and chapesses). I have a dear friend who served during the final few weeks of the war in the 3rd carabiniers (Prince of Wales' Own Dragoon Guards) as a young 17 1/2 yr old subaltern (He fibbed about his age). Mike! Many thanks for posting. A fascinating variation and I am happy to stand corrected. I cannot find a photo of Gibson wearing this particular pattern cap badge. It is possible that this example is a private purchase example rather than issued from clothing stores at that time. I will take...

Lovely figure. Sorry, but the cap badge doesn't look at all right. It was not mounted on a circular cloth disc but rather conformed to the outline of the crown, eagle and wreath, as it still does today... Also there should be no discernible gap between crown eagle and wreath...

    WIP Wehrmacht Poster Boy...

A wee update. Blocking in uniform colours etc and trialling the idea of a neckerchief/sweat rag/cravat...
