Chuck, have you ever tried a stay-wet palette? If not I highly recommend them for anyone using acrylic-type paints, they save a lot of paint in the long run and really help aid painting during long sessions. Einion

Too Hollywood for my tastes now, but has a lot of nicely sculpted elements. Have to add though, if pirate figures were sculpted accurately they would probably not sell well given their likely real appearance (very drab, even parochial, compared with the romantic imagery). Einion

Nice work on the sculpting Sergey, great to see an unusual subject represented. I also wanted to say I appreciate you doing proper ears, far too many busts have very poor anatomy on the ears which there's no excuse for given the large scale. Einion

Pastels, following the usual rule, should work out cheaper than anything packaged for the hobby. They also have a binder included, making them a little easier to apply and have them cling in place. And if you needed another reason there's another huge advantage, they're available in a wider...
