    Nashorn crew from Stalingrad.

A very nice set. It might also work with the AFV and Tamiya releases of the Nashorn (I suggest in this case checking with comparison reviews which must be out there somewhere) or a model of the Hummel which was the same chassis with a 15cm cannon. Cheers Huw

    And Happiness is ......

To be honest I’ve got a spreadsheet with figures, afvs, my project list, wish lists etc on it. It means I can budget and also don’t unintentionally buy doubles. I found it makes life a bit easier. Cheers Huw

    Sweaty and dusty cavalry boots

An excellent point. I wonder what the effect would be on overalls either plain fabric ones or ones with leather on the inside of the legs. Cheers Huw

Yes or no gloss on metal

MarcHi Carabinier officer's had copper helmets and cuirass from 1810 ' 1815, it would be brass for the other ranks. (source Rousselot). A satin finish is what I'd recommend or you'll end up with a toy soldier style figure. Cheers Huw

Did anyone else love this set in the early days

What memories this thread has brought back. I've still got one 1/25 figure by Tamiya in my stash. As for the 1970s what fun I had - one Xmas I was given the 6 figure Afrika Korps set and built them and painted them in an afternoon, sadly I knocked over a bottle of liquid cement over them at...

    WORLD EXPO 2020

I've been reading the threads about Eindhoven and will decide whether or not to go nearer the time. I'm going to put a radius of an hour's drive be car around the show and see what I'm able to find then. The question is will this in reality be much bigger than SMC and if not what happens at that...
