Working on this beautiful busts from FeR. They are so much fun to paint. Painiting in oils on a base of acrylics.

I'm a Lucky guy. Just being present at the Sevres exhibition. So both Ney and Lannes on the list. Number 1 and 2 for sure. Looking forward to see the two busts live.

I don't like the painting of the face to be honest. Not at all. The sculpting is perfect. The blanket looks beautiful. Both busts are on the wishlist of many. Mine too!

Chailey, I let the oilpaint dry out on paper for a few hours before using them. It helps a lot in drying with a matt finish.

Almost finished this bust. Just some minor adjustments to make. Especially the lance. All painted in oils. It's depicting a soldier of the Highlander regiments that fought Napoleon at Waterloo. The scale is 1:10

Hi John, the greens are looking great. Try the prevent the whites in the face. It looks they are to strong. Can be the pictures.

Hi Colin, As mentioned already. A piece of Art. I like the embroidery too. Can you describe the steps to get this result? I use burnt umber on top of acrylic golden yellow and then start to use oils as golden ocre and naples yellow and white in steps. What do you think?
