Wow, what a great paint job, those flags scare me but you have painted the freehand superbly. I saw this figure and was tempted to buy, but it would of been nice to have an open helmet option too. I'm not sure if you can buy the heads separately?

Thanks for the feedback, I'm feeling quite enthusiastic about this one now :D i'll carry on highlighting, and see how he turns out. The bottom lip needs sorting and I will do the beard so there's some colour changes. I think I've made the paint a bit too thick in my hurry to get him done, but...

Thanks for the input thus far, I think I'm sorted on paint, and primer now, its what figure to paint. I just love the detail on the 90mm upwards figures :D :rolleyes: but cant justify the cost, especially as I probably will mess it up on my first try. Those Pegaso 54mm look good, thanks...

Thanks Einion, yes I've noticed the standard of sculpting is up and down on these large scales. but there sure is some great ones too.

Thanks Rocky, and Tony, I'm going to stick to acrylics in the short term, as I've not had experience in oils, although I do use W&N series 7 brushes. Primer is an important point, still not sure which to use? As to the figures, I like a Romeo 90mm crusader, this one...
