    Hidalgo-Beneito news

Beautiful. Reminds me a little of the final scenes in "Captain Alatriste". Very evocative and a wonderful scene. Gerry

    'Vive L'Empereur' Colonel Burthe Horse/Bust

Gordon, This is amazing! You produce so much wonderful stuff, its just fantastic. I hate painting the braid that Hussars wore, but for this I could make an exception. So if I've understood correctly the photos are of the 1/9th version? Many thanks, Gerry

Amazing sculpting. Any idea when the 2 vignettes (this and the TYW vignette) will hit your web store? Gerry

Crazy Experiment coming soon ! Heavy Water as Medium for Acrylics

Very intrigued! Would love to learn how your experiment works. Looks like the larger of the 2 bottles is $90 before shipping, so I don't think that it will replace distilled water for most of my painting, but maybe your experiment will reveal new benefits. Now if it had a "Spiderman-like"...

New Release - Mameluke Standard Bearer Mounted Bust

Lovely. Just lovely. This speaks to me. (it says "buy me now, you know you want to") That's why I'm on this forum - it reassures me that I'm not the only one who hears those voices ;) Gerry

For Sale Figures from Red Lancers on Ebay

I think we're all shocked at the increase in transatlantic shipping costs these days. I'm not sure how it will affect prices for us. In May I bought a small gift to send to my sister in Northern Ireland (from the USA) and the USPS wanted 3 times in postage what the gift cost!! I used Amazon...

ANDREA MINIATURES NEW RELEASE S8-F64 WIND OF WAR 90mm 1:18 SCALE

$72 for shipping is extremely expensive. It makes a single figure more than $250!! I recently ordered direct from MIG Jimenez and they shipped all the items via DHL Express for just $25 and it only took 5 days from Spain to the USA. Postage times to the US from Europe are extremely long at...

ANDREA MINIATURES NEW RELEASE S8-F64 WIND OF WAR 90mm 1:18 SCALE

Looks amazing. It says that orders before August 31st will get the painting manual included. When will it be available to order?

    Can anyone recommend... rope?

Just ordered up some hemp rigging. I have some of the Alexandros naval figures and I can use it for those as well. (When I eventually get around to painting them!) :) Thanks again Gerry

    Can anyone recommend... rope?

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone can help with a recommendation on some appropriately scaled rope for a figure that I'm working on. I'm working on a 120mm mounted NA Plains Indian and I've been trying to find some sort of rope that I can use for the reins. If I can't find anything I'll...

Modeles & Allures - mounted Le Cimier 90mm reissue

It is indeed. A wonderful figure. I still have one in my GA (which is nuts to have something so long really) and this post will prompt me to sell it I think. If it hasn't gotten to the "top pile" yet I'm not sure that it ever will! :) Gerry

Completed On the Great Plains, Lakota Sioux Family, 1874 - 1/35 Master Box Plastic Kit

This is a wonderful piece Ken. Really great work. You should pop it straight into the FOTM. You'll get my vote for sure! Best Gerry

75mm Rorkes Drift vignette - Adam McMaster

It brings a whole new meaning to Cpl Jone's "they don't like it up 'em Capt Mainwaring"! That's a mean looking bayonet that I wouldn't like up anywhere! Also, the vignette (the actual subject of this thread :)) is really great and very, very tempting. You produce really amazing figures...
