    Caricature stuy; Batduck and Ivan

Looks great, Jamie. This looks like a great way to get ones sculpting fingers wet without the pressure of trying for perfect anatomical perfection, etc. Good stuff.

    Creating your own blog...

Looks good, Joe. Interesting to see different layouts and ideas. Also, thanks for the advice, Gary. This is getting me stoked to get my own started. Once the Calgary RMMC show is over at the end of the month I'll have time to get going on something. Brent

Thanks, Jeff. I should searched first - inputting "putty and health" brings up a few threads.

    Sculpting Mediums and Health

I read in an earlier thread "Whatever happened to?" about one person who had a bad experience (health related) with the putty they were using. I have always wondered about the use of these epoxies and other sculpting mediums. Do you typically use them with bare hands? Are there some that are...

How I build dioramas Part 2

Looking forward to seeing them in person someday. I seem to end up there every few years (although I live out west). Great work, John!

    Creating your own blog...

Jamie, I was just looking at these blogs today and thought of your thread here. Siara Siarzewski, has three that are quite good in layout (not to mention some absolutely jaw-dropping modeling work as well). http://u-552.blogspot.com/ http://bmwr75.blogspot.com/ http://vw82.blogspot.com/ -...

I was thinking about buying the Danilo Cartacci Book ...

Very good book. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a great "how-to".

    Spanish Style

I'd second Bob's recommendation for the Osprey book "Painting Fallschirmjager figures" by Jaume Ortiz. Because of the narrow subject matter it does not immediately pop out as a painting reference book. But having read several "how-to" painting books, it really was one of the best for clearly...

Hey Gary, Yes, I'll be in Calgary, so hopefully we'll run into each other. There's also now a slim chance that I might be able to go to Euro! :) Come on Air Canada seat sale!

    Creating your own blog...

Jamie, Very nice! That's what I was thinking of for myself. Just something for friends and others who might enjoy following along. People sometimes ask what I've been up to and this is a good way to fill them in beyond what can be conveyed in casual conversation, if they are interested. Brent

    Floor Polish

Hmm... I all but gave up trying to work with acrylics for washes. I tried many mediums, but never found anything that worked well and ended up going back to my "foolproof" oils thinned with odorless thinner over a gloss clear coat. I'll have to give Future a try in this application. Thanks for...

    Creating your own blog...

I've been looking into this myself and Blogger seems to be used often by other figure hobbyists for their personal sites. Haven't tried it myself yet, so I can't give any feedback. www.blogger.com
