Didn’t use those sources, used Osprey Soldiers of the Revolutionary War and photos of actual 26th Regiment uniform pieces on file in the collections of Armed Forces History, National Museum Of American History, Smithsonian Institution. Must better than a color print made around 200 years later.

It’s a great portrait, first saw it when I was in Scotland last year for Golf . Stayed over 2days in Edinburgh just to tour the museums and castle. This bust will paint up beautifully.

Winfred, I used Andrea yellow and green paint kits on the jacket, get the 5 different colors where you want them and then blend them with very thin washes. Takes a lot of passes and plenty of patience. I further highlight the yellow with thin washes of lemon yellow and the green with jade green...

French Dragoon 1810-1812 My entry for October French Dragoon Chef d'escadron 1810-1812 Made by Andrea Miniatures I painted this nice bust with acrylics and used printers inks on the metals. The torso was resin and the helmet and plume white metal.

Thanks Gordon, Thanks Tommi I used Andrea yellow paint kit with adding lemon yellow as a further highlight. I find painted the 5 yellow colors in where you see they need to go and then blend each color with very thin washes. If you have the patience you get nice results.
