Excellent although the hair and face are bit refined. My absolute favourite portrait and one I always go to see when I'm in Edinburgh. Scottish National Portrait Gallery, couple of minutes from Princes St and free entry.
Tom Durie (Derry) was a 'natural' fool, having what we now call learning difficulties,
He appears to have been a much loved member of the court and even had his own servants.
The only observation I would make is that in the portrait much of the personality of the man
is shown by his characteristic hair bushing up on each sideof his head and his well bashed nose.
It might be worth 'tweaking' the hair a bit.

It’s a great portrait, first saw it when I was in Scotland last year for Golf . Stayed over 2days in Edinburgh just to tour the museums and castle. This bust will paint up beautifully.
