I like the look of those armatures  Thanks again, Ethan

    Rebel officer

Very nice work, what material are you using to sculpt in? Though I like the new hand I think you might want to tilt the pistol back so it is sort of in between what you had originally and the update. Great figure, good sense of movement :)

    Theoden of Rohan 54mm

Here's a figure I just started, the King of Rohan from The Two Towers. The armature is done in Aves Apoxie Sculpt, the clothes in A+B Putty and Green Stuff. I'd like to know whatever's wrong with this figure, please be very honest so I can make corrections when there's still time. Thanks alot...

    2nd Wisconsin volunteer Infantry

It may just be the angle of the photographs, but it seems to me that after the clothing was added the upper leg looks a little long. Great pose and anatomy though, good work.

    Life Size Head

Thanks alot for the comments. The head actually looks alot like the girl I was working off of, she looks alot older for her age. I'll be taking it to a school-sponsored art show tomorrow, I'm pretty excited. Right nor the hair is cleaned up a bit but it's not any more detailed. Do you guys...

    sturmtruppen 1916

Very well done, I like the uniform texture. My only critique is that the wrist/hand might be a bit thin, but that could be the camera shot. A very well excecuted piece overall :)

    Life Size Head

That's creepy man, we're both 17 lol :o Stefano- I'm probably going to make a latex mold and cast it in plaster, though if I come across large quantities of cash someday I would like to make a bronze.

    Life Size Head

Thanks to all for the comments. Gary- I would really love to go back to 54mm figures, but I'm having a really hard time proportioning the armatures lately. I've tried a bunch of different methods, including yours in your SBS, but I can never seem to get the shape of the hip/pelvis right. Are...

    Life Size Head

Here's a life size head I've been working on to practice facial proportions, it's modeled off a friend of mine. It is sculpted in Chavant NSP Medium and weighs about 3-/35 pounds, even with a styrofoam armature.

    54mm Norman Archer Sculpt

Yea... send the old one to me ;) Really nice job, you got some beautiful folds in. The next can only be better!

    Some Practice Heads

I worked on these 3cm tall Super Sculpey heads for practice. They are modeled off of friends. The first still needs work on the neck and added shoulders, the second is pretty early on. Any comments/crits appreciated :)

    Elf Warrior

Amazing work, I'm completely jealous :) EDIT: Playing Devil's advocate, but does he have any scabbards? I know it's a fantasy piece so you can get away with anything, but I'm just curious.

    Mixing Magicsculpt and Duro

While Aves Apoxie Sculpt is decently carvable, it is not so with Aves Apoxie Clay. Though both go on smooth and I find them easy to work with while wet, I prefer A+B putty for carving. However I consider both Aves products above Magic Sculpt. Apoxie Clay and Duro form a very solid mass which is...

    [LotR] The Son of Gondor

I'm using Aves Apoxie Clay for the tunic, (I should have used A+B I think, it carves better) A+B for the head and sleeves, and Duro for the chainmail. @Gary, hey there, I just busted off the hood and I am using the old cloak as a mold to form a fresh sheet of putty over. Hopefully I can make a...

    [LotR] The Son of Gondor

Here's a new project I'm working on. He stands about 60mm tall and is made from epoxy putty. I'm concerned about the cloak fit, I am afraid he looks like a hunchback. I am going to try to extend his hair in the back, that might help. Please point out any proportional issues, there are probably...

    Aragorn

That's really good, I especially like the hands and the vambrace detail. Great work, any other pictures?

Rideer of Rohan FINI (well kinda of...)

That's great. I'm sculpting my own Rohirrim, so it's nice to see someone else do a good job on theirs.

    German Panzerschreck team.

Amazing paint job. That's my favorite WWII camo pattern, it's nice to see it painted so well.

    Karl XII of Sweden

Plain and undramatic maybe... but one amazing sculpt. Even if it's not someone with mouth wide open shouting, it more than makes up for it in realism. Even if you don't think you'd be able to sell it with a company, I'd still do a couple castings just for yourself. Kinda sad though how many...

Hmm... I can't see anything either... but I'm sure it's great.
