    I've just painted the base wash on this coat and helmet cover. I don't know if grey or grey-green or even camo is correct for this machine gunner. Any help would be appreciated.

    Really nice work - but you needed to paint the uniform dark green. I'm a 1st U.S. sharpshooter (Berdan's) reenactor. This figure has a sharps rifle and the red diamond so it must be a Berdan - for the correct colors go to: http://www.berdansharpshooters.com/art.html

    I just got the Coldstream Guard figure - unfortunately the musket end is broken and I was looking for a 1854 Enfield replacement. I did some research on the uniform. Here some pics.
