Hi guys, and ladies too. I thought I'd post a pic of my latest completed bust for reviews and critiques. Mastered in Super Sculpey Firm, then molded and cast in resin for painting. As always, any and all critiques are much appreciated since the only way I'm going to continue to improve is through feedback and opinions on what I'm doing right and wrong. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Often , pieces are done that are technically proficient and innovative in subject and pose...this piece has all of that ,IMO. But beyond that, this fellow looks absolutely German...and therein, lies it's extraordinary presence.
Impressive, javol!
There was an old time actor, that I'm sure I'm only ancient enough to remember, who looks like this fellow...Lyle Bettger. Anyone? Anyone?

Lyle Bettger - You got my curiousity goin'. It does look a bit like him!

Martinmack - How about a photo that isn't so dark? Dark and atmospheric is nice and I've posted photos like that myself on PF, but to see your sculpting skills, clear, well-lit and high resolution photos are better. Cheers - fine sculpting!

All the best,
Dan

Thank you for the comments gentlemen. I'm very happy that I captured a certain German look, I guess all those reference pictures soaked into my brain. Dan, I struggled with trying to get a picture with enough contrast to show the details in the light tan resin, I'll definitely work on my photography skills for the next one.

LOL; that's hilarious that you looked him up...but when he was even younger than that photo, he looked more like the pilot piece.
I have a habit of always thinking a piece or a person on TV or wherever, looks like someone else....then I have to rack my brain to try to remember who it is....but Lyle old boy came instantaneously...
Thanks for the laugh, Dan.
