This is an old shelf queen that I got it into my head to complete!
9 years in the making!
The head and the life vest were finished, everything else I've completed in the last week or so ...

All is done with Vallejo Model colour and one pot of citadel

Good on ya Mark!
Finally landing this guy.
Do like subtlety of tones on uniform.
First time I’ve seen back of this guy & parachute kit which really adds interest. Also noted canvas texture on straps - part of original sculpt or have you painted this in?

Hey Mike!

As the sculptor of this bust, I can say that the canvas texture was sculpted in. I used a little piece of an old shirt to carefully press the texture into the straps.

Stella job MikeG mate!
Forgotten this was another of yours & updated details above.
Look forward to seeing more WW2 aircrew from you one day :)

Brilliant work, Mark - weathering on the helmet & shading on the lifejacket are particular standouts for me, & you've really done justice to Mike G's superb sculpt.

Very nice Mark, I remember you starting it and me commenting on it at the time, but I can't remember if it was on here or you bought it along to WR as a WIP. Was it really that long ago?! The stitching effect on his webbing is particularly effective. It looks like actual fabric.
