Getting to the end of this set from Royal Models.
Still a lot of touching up to do, and theirs a third figure needs finishing.
Fortunately they look better with less magnifacation.
Carl.

Nice Job Carl.
The camo is faded, as it should hev been at those time.
I personally like Royal model figures, I find that they have a lot details in the sculpting, so that it easy the paintwork.
Best,
Julien

Nice figures and good painting job!

Did you paint in the center seam in
the back of the jacket? or was it sculpted
there? WSS pz jackets don't have that
vertical center seam in the back...

Thanks for taking the time to comment chaps. Taesung the seam is sculpted in, being lazy I can't be bothered to change it now.
Thanks again,
Carl.

Excellent painting work! especially the face.
No need to worry about removing the back center seam. The Tarn Panzer Jackes were produced both with and without the back center seam.

Hhhmm - interesting Taesung, I am just finishing off my 1/16 SS Panzer officer sculpted by Brian Stewart some time ago and it has a thin seam sculpted in the back of the camo double breasted jacket, afraid I haven't done research into this point, perhaps you can clarify.

Hmmm... interesting. I just read that this jacket doesn't have vertical
center seam in the back in "Camouflage Uniforms of the Waffen-SS:
A Photographic Reference (Schiffer Military / Aviation History)."
It also says that these early WSS camo jackets in soft edge camo pattern
were non-reversible even though the inside was in camo as well.
It's should be the Fall pattern outside which you have it right.
I'm sure there were exceptions.

Well, a good lesson learned. Never say never when it comes to WW2
uniforms.

Well, well, well..., Look who we have here. It's the sculptor,
Mr. Kwang Yeol Lee, from Australia!
Speaking about another good lesson learned from you:

"Never pay a sculptor upfront"

Carl, both are great work from Royal and I like what you done with fleshtones, but i am confused wich camo you try painting on this 2 guys?
If they are from SS, the WSS made Panzer jackets had no seam, but Heer ones did.

The person I've painted them for wanted camo, so it's a simplified version of autumn oak leaf.
I always struggle with it,
Carl.
