Decent progress this weekend given I had five adult kids, some spouses and all the grand kids visiting. Good thing I get up early and it was a long weekend for Canada Day. Half of his cape is attached so far. Only the inside is painted. Boots are just under coated.

Hi Colin

A busy time for sure but bet you loved seeing them all and a belated happy Canada day

Hopefully the cape fitted with ease , good start on that

Waist Sash is coming along well ...not the easiest

Have you changed your mind ref the despatch case ?

Look forward to seeing more on this

Happy benchtime

The fit was good Kev. No change on the despatch case. I am going for a worn grass green shade with gold trim and lettering.

Glad you are finding it useful Simon.

I didn’t mention that I tried something new with his off white breeches. I painted and shaded them normally and then, as a final step, I sponge on some highlight colour. Seemed to work well.

Agreed the trousers do look good, the sponge certainly adds a high degree of subtlety to the highlights.

Cheers Simon

Hi Colin

Nice to see he’s now got the sword in place , good start on the boots ...you using Inks over acrylics or just Oils ?

A good point about the contrast on larger figures

Looking forward to seeing more

Have fun at the bench
