Hey all,

I know I've seen them out there, but who's producing 1/10th scale M4's suitable for special ops guys.

Thanks!

Alex

Thanks Tony! I'm not sure there would be much difference 1/10 to 1/9...Unfortunately, as far as I know, the USSOCOM doesn't use the C8...

The difference between 1/10 and 1/9 isn't noticeable, especially since one sculptors 1/10 is closer to another's 1/9th, and vice-versa. As suggested, Contact Andy at Special Ops models ( http://www.specialopsmodels.com), he makes the best modern weapons that go with his figs. Since the parts from his various M4's are interchangeable and separate parts, you can mix and match them to come up with the configuration you want. And all of his M4's come with turned aluminum barrels embedded in the fore grips, so no worries about banana shaped barrels. He does various sights, attachments and front grips, so whatever configuration you are looking for should be doable.
Cheers
Jason

Thanks so much for all the help guys! I've sent a message through the website to Andy, and we'll see what happens!

The difference is significant - the length of an M4 at each scale is 84mm versus 93mm.

Jason's point about the variation in sizing in sculptor's work is right on (we have the same basic problem in most scales, to one degree or another) but as you can tell from the above dimensions, a bust would have to be pretty far off its supposed mark for it to work with a gun accurately scaled to 1/9.

I guess more what I was thinking is if I'm chopping it off at the bottom of the bust anyways, without the full length of the rifle, could a 1/9 rifle be used on a 1/10th bust?

I know NWM did that SF bust, with a half rifle..he was 1/9 right?
