Just completed this latest offering from Young Miniatures,a great bust depicting the 101st Airborne,506th inf ,the piece is based on the actor Damien Lewis from the excellent HBO series Band of Brothers who played the part of Maj Dick Winters during the series.
the bust is excellently cast with a few casting blocks to clean up and hardly any filling required, all parts fit very well, the helmet strap comes in one piece, but I was having trouble with the fit of this part so I opted for the strap to be shown in 2 pieces, which was still a common look among US soldiers at the time.
i added a backdrop for this, which sits the piece in a natural surrounding of Normandy hedgerow countryside and some signs and foliage from my Diorama spares.
all in all a very enjoyable piece and one which was great to paint.

Bravo, a beautifully done piece, really love how you've done the cam cream, not an easy thing to paint and you remembered his ears! The whole presentation, paint job and everything is really top draw stuff.

Cheers Simon

Very nice job indeed, I like the way you handled the camo on the face. Excellent presentation as well, a very striking piece.
