Hi fellow planeteers!
I just wanted to show you what I've been working on.
I've found this in a flea market at a model show last year and decided to give it a try.
Comments and critiques are welcome!

Cheers!

Oooooh, this looks gorgeous so far.I am following this.Would you like to share with the rest of us the colour mix for the camel's pelt?

Oda.

I refer to the real effect of the flakes.
you gave only lights or something. They are realistic.
I await the continuation.
Thank you

I airbrushed the whole thing with Tamyia Nato Brown, first light with Tamyia Khaki brown and second lights with Tamyia Buff. Once dried I used Liquitex Burnt Umber ink to tie everything together and enhance the shadows.

Yes, 3 lights and then a controlled wash of Liquitex Burnt Umber ink.

The camel looks terrific and thanks for the color mixes. I have a camel to paint and will be following closely.

Thank you all for the kind remarks.

I think Verlinden has been terribly undervalued...the latest kits from the super scale series had an excellent sculpture and cast. Unfortunatelly, the box art usually buried the kit as
badly sculpted.
The box art is good enough for you to display at home, but not good enough to be on the outside of a box or a website where it's supposed to convince your client to buy the kit. (I really hope I'm not offending anyone on this website:nailbiting:)
So, maybe, a better boxart could have taken Verlinden to higher grounds.

Felipe, Super job on the camel! Wow you sure put a lot of detail into the riding gear as well! (y) I look forward to seeing the rider now! Thanks for sharing your work!

Thank you, Terry. The sculpture deserves it. It’s so well sculpted that I had to add as much detail as I could. I’m not really proud of the disigns I’ve free handed on the sides of the saddles... too tight to have a decent straight line, but the end result really pleases me and I’m very satisfied with the result so far.
I should probably have a few more pictures by Friday.

Very very nice painting !
Thx!

Love the colours on the rider. This is clearly going to be a brilliant piece of work ... a proper job as they say in my part of the world !
