Zane, Sorry to hear you were having challenges mate. Health is not something to take lightly. Glad you are feeling better and back at it.

Dude, you put me to shame. I for the life of myself can not stay focused enough to do many figures in a setting. You have it mastered my friend. 3 Projects in the works and they are all multi-figured offering. Wow! That is awesome! Still can't get over you doing all the Bugle and Guidon figures years ago for your Custer's Last Stand. That was a masterpiece!

I love it, both the scene and your paintwork. This is on my list too though I heard that a lot of work must be done to get it all to fit .......

Thanks Terry, I get a bit more excited with multi figure displays, not so much with single figures but, it is easier putting all your concentration into one figure.

Thankyou, yes a lot of built work and assembly to do, and because it is such a tightly fitting diorama everything has to fit right. Some builders have spaced their horses and riders out but, having them all together adds to the chaos of the charge. I don't know if you have seen but Gordon at RDG Miniatures is just releasing a similar set of french hussars.

That's quite the undertaking Zane. It's looking great. I wish I had the patience and attention span to do something like this. ;)

Cheers,
Ken

Thanks Ken, I know what you mean, I did start a Large 75mm diorama of a british square corner(around 30 figs) and only got 1/4 of the way when the interest was lost but, hope to pick it up again in the future.

This is a huge undertaking and I applaud your ability to concentrate on this one. I also have this one and am trying to work up the mental fortitude to tackle it. I will be following your progress closely.

Have blocked in the colours of the all the horse furniture with just the shading and highlights to go. The horses themselves are about 85% done with just the eyes, mouth and minor shadows and highlights to go.

Well, finally finished the 5 horses. It did take a little longer than expected, a lot of fiddly and repetitive painting. Reins and weathering still to do, but that will happen at the end. It's funny how the camera will find any little painting/assembling errors and magnified it 10 fold, anyway onto the figures now.
