Bit of an update picture wise ...helmet head and hair all done , since taking these the stock and collar are done working on the ruffle

The clingfilm stops any oils from my fingers!!!

Thank you for the comment working on the facings and collar now .....

Starting to come together ...it's a nice bust to have on the bench ...box art is helping!

I like the brass but thought I would go for the black lacquered finish as both were seen worn

......for me this model gives me what I look for:

Good sculpting
Good casting
Interesting subject matter

all = bench enjoyment which is what this hobby is all about

Would definately recommend any from Ellies

Lacework ( this afternoon!!!)
Buttons
Sash
Epaulettes ( reworked slightly based on an original one )
Coat colour

Recheck and base up !!

A good strong face and you've got him looking a bit
world weary as well. This is smashing mate I really like it.

Just spent nearly 2 1/2 hours doing the lacework ...with the black line in the middle each of each the lace strips!..need coffee!!

Hi Bob,

Cheers for the visit ...lacework ...water soluable Oils Paynes gray , life colour Barley gray , GW Chaos black and final highs of JS Warm white , the actual regimental pattern a black ( the lace work was still WIP in pic )
