A Fixture
I've only managed two sessions since my last update. Christmas gets in the way. I hope to have most of it finished by the end of next week. He's at an ugly stage. All gold braid and fittings to be finished.
The hair and eyebrows have just been roughed out and will be painted in acrylics as with eyeballs when the oils dry after the weekend. The shine should wear off by then. I'll go over the face again and pick out the fine detail.
The hand has been painted. Braid to be finished before arm is glued to the body.
I've started work on the sword and base. Alclad dark aluminium over Tamiya gloss black. Hilt had little details so I picked out rivets and hilt plates. I'm deciding what to do with the steel parts. The base will be black and white tiles. The white areas have nearly been done, darker areas will be black. I wanted to go for marble tiles. Tamiya white and black using the salt weathering technique with various greys.
